June 2018

June was a crazy busy month for us!
We had our anniversary, the kids were out of school, we moved to a new house in our city and Luke's mom came to visit.

June 4th is our anniversary so we went to the hills toward Shimla which are own a couple hours outside of town to reminisce on the last 7 years of marriage and dream about what things may be coming in the next few decades of life together.

Our landlord informed us that they were going to sell the house we were living in this year and started to bring potential buyers by the house so we started looking for a new house and found this beautiful duplex just outside of town.

So a week after signing the papers, we packed up all of our stuff and moved across town.

That big truck with stuff piled high is our moving truck.

The house is beautiful and newly remodeled. Its near the kids school and near friends from our church. But the best thing has been the community center behind the house because most days it is empty and the kids can ride their bikes, play sports and the dog can run in the big yard. Its been such an unforeseen blessing!

The center is also great for puddle jumping as Monsoon Season starts to roll in.

Another new thing is Ezra's love for drumming. He like to practice after church on the electric drums. He's learning quickly.

My mother-in-law came to Chandigarh toward the end of June. It was a crazy rush to get the house fixed up in time and surprise her. (We hadn't told her that we moved!)

The kids LOVED having Nana around.

She even went out for house visits with me.

We showed her some of the nicer things in town that we have discovered this year, like this very clean pool at the golf course.

Madelyn is serious about there swimming. :)

They're favorite thing to do with Nana is to snuggle up and watch movies or read books or play games. There is something so special about having a grandparent around.
