February 2025

February started off awesome.. on a cruise with family!

Playing Bingo is a family favorite.

The kids were at such a perfect age on this cruise. They were so fun to go on excursions with but on the ship they were able to roam freely and play with new friends.

Our local church was such a help to our hearts in this season. They opened their hearts and let us share our story, join in on their fun, participate in ministry events and just loved us so well!

Flying to a conference in Tennessee and the kids got to see the cockpit. Ezra had a dozen questions of course.

It snowed while we were Tennessee.. more winter prep for Canada.

Madelyn has gotten into reading these days. She is going through the Ramona series which I loved as a kid too.

Back home and enjoying some after-school chipping fun in the backyard.

We started off January with our old teammates who are now back stateside doing their Masters coming to visiti us for a long weekend together. It was SUCH a gift to relive old memories and talk about job options going forward. Honestly, it was exactly what we needed in order to confidently say yes to our next season.

After they left, we talked and prayed as a family and accepted a job working with our same people but in Canada.

It snowed a little in Texas.. we took it as prep for the Canadian winters to come. Thankfully we will live in Vancouver, so not too much snow in our future.

Madelyn got reading glasses and looks adorable in them.

The kids are doing homeschool for this semester. Madelyn's English curriculum just happened to have an entire unit on Canada of all places!? It was great to get some basic information on our future home.

Leaving our smaller dog (who wasn't allowed to fly) behind in India has been such a heart breaking thing for the kids. It isn't the same thing at all... but after a conversation on day, Madelyn asked if we could get a fish while we were in Texas. Her name is Stella.

December 2024

December 2nd is a day we will always remember. We said goodbye to the country we have called home for 11 years and the people who have become family. We let go plans for the years to come and boarded a flight with 8 bags, our dog Sadie and the sustaining faith that God works all things according to the counsel of His will.. even this.

Thankfully we all arrived. It is VERY difficult to get a dog from India to the US. We had to arrive in Atlanta and drive to Texas.

Thankfully my in-laws had a rent house that was available right when we needed it. The Lord was so faithful to provide each thing we needed.

Soaking in good weather and slow days as we let our hearts grieve, process and surrender to whatever God wants for our next season of life.

Christmas trees and festivities make everything brighter.

It is not often that they get to enjoy both sets of grandparents at one time.

The kids joined the local basketball league. They had never done a league like this and didn't know any of the kids but they were so brave and loved it.
