August 2022

After a long, amazing family vacation, we settled back into life in Chandigarh.

The kids were so excited to start back on their soccer team. They are on the same team alongside other kids from their school, grades 1-5. They play for Striker's Football Academy. They even got uniforms!

Most Fridays they play a "friendly match" with another academy that is run by their coaches brother across town. I never imagined my kids would be on a soccer team and play games. What a blessing!

We almost always go to Casa Bella Vista for dinner when we first come back to town. They have a real brick oven and make great pizza.

When the weather is beautiful we love to sneak away to the golf course together.

We were in the States when Sadie turned 5 years old so we had a belated party for her with our traditional brownie cake and pup cakes for the dogs.

The kid's school had a party for August 15th, which is Independence Day. They got to wear "traditional wear" and pack a party tiffin. They both looked SO adorable.

On August 15th they had a school holiday. We made our traditional orange and green pancakes and wore orange and green shirts.

We had our friends over for dinner and played games.

The adults played games too. It was a BLAST!

Our cute pups.

Madelyn loves walking Snuggles.

The kids and I like to go to Oven Fresh together. We order dessert first then share the pasta for our meal.

Another evening at soccer practice. They play on an astroturf field that is on top of a cross fit gym. The trainers at the gym are also the coaches for the kid's functional fitness class (PE) at school.

We still love going to Chili's for a night out. The fact that the decor is the same as Texas is just wonderful.

It has been so amazing to have the kids in school regularly and be able to get out regularly with ladies again.

Our team mate and a partner both had their birthday the same week so we celebrated with cake, dinner out and bowling.

We have gone to a few great PGA tournaments this year and the kids worked hard to get a lot of signatures from the players. We hung them in our upstairs middle room and it looks great.

A lazy afternoon of painting with the kids.

Luke brought home some light sabers for the kids.

Fall is around the corner which calls for mug cakes with Reeses's Pieces on them.
