"The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy."
Psalm 126:3
There comes a moment when you realize that every day is so full of joy and great things from God that all you can do is praise Him. I've been living that moment for several months now and I'm beginning to think it may be more than a moment, maybe this is life - the abundant life that Jesus says he came to provide, one that seeks to glorify Him above all else and is filled with good gifts from the Father. Our days are filled with so many wonderful memories and victories by God's hand that I am compelled to record them somewhere. A diary doesn't allow for photos, Facebook is simply too public so I have come to the conclusion that a family blog is a great way to document life and remember these ordinary days that are so precious and how God moved in great ways as we seek to live for Him.
It is amazing to look back and recognize God's hand at work these past few years...
It all began at DBU, when God brought significant peace that we were to date with the intentions of marriage.
On August 21, 2010, exactly a year after we had met, Luke asked me to be his wife and I said "Yes, most definitely yes" with complete confidence that though we still had so much to learn about loving each other and partnering for God's plans, He would be faithful to teach us.
On June 4, 2011 we said "I do".
We moved to Seminary, we got a dog, we learned a lot about marriage do's and don'ts...
We traveled and caught a vision of what God had in store..
And we felt that significant peace again, that this vision included a little one!
The pregnancy was complicated but wonderful and yes.. I got HUGE!
And on December 18, 2012 our sweet Ezra Hudson Cavo was born!
These past 5 months have been the best of our lives. Marriage was wonderful, but being married to your best friend and sharing the joy of this sweet face together - It's even better!
And that is how we became "The Cavo Family".
These days are so sweet! - the lessons we're learning, the memories we're making - I just can't wait to record them so we can look back and praise our good God for the great things He has done and the great things He has in store.
