May 2018

Some pictures from our May.

Ezra and I have been doing crafts for bible stories and he loved the creation story crafts.

These boys still love going to the driving range together.

We went back to the local water park this month and LOVED IT!

Watercolor painting has been the kids new favorite thing to do.

Every Sunday night at 4pm a camel and his handler come down our street to give rides to children for 50 cents! Gotta love India!

We also get to see crazy cows walk up our street which is exciting to the kids.

Ezra asked for a "long on top, short on the sides" hair cut and he looks so handsome.

Our Noah story craft included a snack holder. I used some animal crackers from America that I had been saving for a special occasion.

The kids and I love going on dates to the mall. Our favorite things are Chili's, Red Mango frozen yogurt and the new little trampoline park.

This sweet guy is such a good helper now a days. He loves learning how to cook.

Our favorite thing about Saturday is having a slow morning with a special breakfast and playing outside.

We bought a new blow up pool and the kids LOVE it!

I absolutely love hammocks and especially when I get to snuggle with this cutie in a hammock.

This is the Sunday School at our church watching a video over our lesson for the week.

We went to a friend's birthday party and it was superhero/princess themed. So fun!

The kids came with me to visit some new friends after school and did great! I love bringing them on house visits with me.

These two spend MANY hours in the pool!

Every week at Sunday School we make fun crafts too.

Ezra loved this giant Spiderman. This was from the first day of the kid's 3 week summer camp put on by their school.

Madelyn's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe our baby girl is 3 years old!
Madelyn is strong, funny, beautiful, adventurous, obedient and a complete joy to do this life with. We are so very thankful that she is ours.

Madelyn in her birthday outfit. Her party was Peppa Pig themed and she loved her shirt that I made her.

'
This is such a sweet picture of these two. They genuinely love each other and play together well. There are small disagreements but they pass quickly and then they're back to being best friends.

We had all our friends over for a big Peppa Pig party. These were the appetizers then we did a big barbecue buffet for dinner and of course cake for dessert.

I made a giant 3 out of pictures from the last 3 years of Madelyn's life. It is so precious to see how she has grown.

Madelyn loved all the party decorations. She is VERY into Peppa Pig. I had the balloon brought over from the US in a package and then blown up here.

We gave bubble wands to the kids who came as their party gift. We're so blessed to have a ton of friends in town who happily come to celebrate with us.

I always order the kid's cakes from a local bakery and they always do an amazing job! I send them a picture of what I want and they recreate it for me. These cakes are at least half the price of what they would be in the States. There are some definite perks to living here.

Our traditional family photo behind the birthday cake. :)

April 2018

April was a great month with a lot of fun!

We went to Easter at our church and the kids took this adorable picture together. Any cute picture with both kids smiling at me is a major win in the young kids stage.

We made our own Easter egg hunt in our backyard for the kids. They loved it.

We also dyed eggs. This is one of my favorite traditions.

Luke and I decided to put together a raised garden bed around our back yard tree. It turned out beautifully!

We also added more potted flowers and they are so pretty.

We have grown so close to my friend Bohunka and her two kids. They are from Slovakia but have so much in common with us. It's been a sweet friendship.

The kids started taking Hindi lessons with our friend Riya. They are doing great adding to their vocabulary and trying to make sentences.

I came outside and found her sleeping like this. haha!

We've been doing little science experiments recently. I remember growing up I did experiments from a kit with my mom and one of my favorites was a volcano. I looked up directions online and the kids and I did this. They LOVED it!

The kids are pretty excited about any type of food that is presented in a fun way so I like to make their food cool looking as often as possible. This morning I made pancakes in the shape of Mickey/Minnie Mouse.

Down the street from our house is a "Nimbu Pani" stand which is basically really strong lemonade. It is SO good and we like to walk over and enjoy a glass while sitting on the side of the road.

These two play so well together. I'm thankful they have each other as best friends.

I like to do special movie nights with the kids. This night we made rainbow sugar cookie bars and watched UP in the backyard on the projector.

Another night we had grilling, swimming and a showing of Finding Nemo.

Madelyn and I have a new hobby. Now that she has started school I like to find new hair styles on Pinterest to try with her hair. She likes "looking pretty" for school.

I drop the kids off at school each morning. I usually park, walk them to the gate, give them each kisses and hugs, then they hold hands and walk in together. It is precious!

I showed Ezra how to make a paper mache mask and he really enjoyed the project. He honestly made this almost entirely by himself.

Ezra wanted to go camping but its really hot outside so he and Luke set up a tent in the office and slept in the AC. Still all the fun without all the sweat. :)

The kids school sends pictures to the parents through their app and these are some of the cutest pictures of Madelyn playing at school.

There is a Red Mango frozen yogurt shop in our mall and now that it is so hot outside we have started to go pretty regularly. It is very yummy!

The kids love playing with bubbles in the backyard. I love candid photos of them enjoying life.

We eat A LOT of ice cream in the summer. The temperatures get up to 115 for weeks at a time so cooling down is important.
