This year for our December visa run we went to Nepal and Thailand. Luke's parents traveled with us and we had such a wonderful time!
First we went to Nepal because we needed a visa update for Madelyn.
We stayed in our favorite little resort up in the mountains. It has beautiful scenery, a golf course and bath tubs.. what else could we want? haha.
After a few days in Nepal we flew to Thailand for some family vacation. It was sunny and beautiful! We stayed in an amazing resort that a friend suggested. She said it was kid-friendly and man was she right!
Luke's parents LOVED getting to know Madelyn. This baby is just pure perfection and brings us such joy.
I loved having extra hands to love on babies so I could relax in the sun a bit.
And Ezra loved the beach and pool. Luke was such a trooper and took him swimming every. single. day. haha.
At night we would often walk the beach and look for seashells. It was so peaceful.
We would also go to the play place after dinner. They had a whole play building for kids. There was foosball, several game systems, a movie room and this huge ball pit play place. Ezra loved it!
During the day time they had various crafts and painting for kids. Ezra and his Nana painted a dinosaur canvas that now proudly sits in his room.
We also did some day activities. Luke loves fishing so we went to a stocked lake and caught HUGE fish! Ezra was over the moon.. haha. I think he's going to be a fisherman like his daddy.
We went on an elephant ride too! We rode one elephant and Luke's parents rode another. Talk about making memories!
Most evenings we ate dinner at this restaurant in the resort. It was right on the ocean. Great food, great conversation and a great view.. can't beat that!
(Madelyn crawled around the deck and Ezra was watching cartoons on giant bean bags in the corner.. did I mention how kid friendly this place was??)
Before we left we made sure to snap a family photo.
This picture cracks me up. Our kids have been on so many plane rides that a few hour flight is no big deal. haha!
Once back in Delhi we got to introduce Luke's parents to our various friends and fellowships.
We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant.
And our favorite barbecue restaurant.. they gave us a behind the scenes tour!
We also snuck in a trip to the zoo. There isn't much of a variety of animals but its a fun family day and Ezra gets excited about any animal. Even the monkeys that were running free... because that's what they do here.. haha.
We love using our visa runs as an excuse for a fun family vacation and this one did not disappoint! We made such sweet memories with Luke's parents. We only see each other once a year so we make it count!
