September was a great month with wonderful memories.
For Teacher's Day the kids each brought their teachers a small bouquet of flowers and some homemade veg chocolate chip cookies with a sign they watercolor painted that read, "Thanks for making me one smart cookie."
One day the kids all had a half school day so they got out at 12:30. We took advantage by going to a play place and Nik Bakers for some fun with school friends.
The first weekend of September is the beginning of fall in our house and we celebrate with with pecan pie and pumpkin carving.
Madelyn helped me make this pie and she was very proud.
We have a great church with several sweet friends.
Every day in the warm months we run to the market and get ice cream cones or ice cream sandwiches. It's a fun special treat. Added bonus, they only cost a quarter each!
A calm Saturday morning. Me enjoying my coffee and the kids immersed in crafting and coloring.
I have been working through the first Harry Potter book in Hindi this year and finally finished!
We met up with some other school friends for a Saturday morning play date.
We have some really great soft play grounds in town.
Madelyn proudly showing her hand writing progress.
In the fall we like to watch the Curious George Boo Fest movie and eat brownies with Reece's Pieces on top.
Ezra was off on a Father Son date so Madelyn and I went to the mall for Starbucks and shopping.
She found this awesome unicorn headband.
Ezra drew this picture for Madelyn as a surprise and it was so very sweet. They have a sincere friendship that I love to watch as it grows.
Its football season which means Saturday mornings full of Texas shaped waffles, recorded College Football games and lots of playing.
This parrot randomly came to our porch one morning. It seemed to have a hurt wing so we fed it and let it hang by our house for a couple of days then when it was better, it flew away. It was an amazing experience.
One of our random national holidays we celebrate.. National Pancake Day.. which calls for pancakes, whip cream and lots the toppings.
At the end of September we took the train into Delhi and hung out at the mall all day. We watched a movie, played on the playground and had great food. Then that night we got on a plane to America for a month of meetings and time with family.
